COVID Information!

1. This class is offered indoors @ the RHS Training Facility (2640 Victoria Ave E)

2. Indoor classes have a maximum of five canine participants.

3. Indoor classes have a maximum of two handlers per dog in class.

4. Participants are asked to provide their own chairs, to reduce contact points.

5. Facility contact points are sanitized between each class

For Puppies who are 4-8 months old and have been through RHS Puppy Socialization RHS Puppy Play to Learn or equivalent class. Our Advanced Puppy class further grows the self-control, focus, fun, and skills of our young teenage dogs. With your early learning on board, now we’ll be looking at various nuisance behaviors and develop games to protocols and combat them, along with learning practical tricks, games, and strategies for surviving -and thriving- through adolescence.

We’ll cover the following topics:

• Developing a thinking relationship on both sides of the leash
• Working through Adolescent Jumping
• Working through Adolescent Resource Guarding
• Games for dealing with guests
• Games for annoying yard behaviors
• Preventing Leash Reactivity
• Reducing Excitement
• Putting Excitement on Cue -there’s a time and place for your energy!
• Training Loops
• 10+ Practical Dog Tricks
• A host of thinking games!

Please note this class is ONLY for RHS graduates. If you have not recently gone through a puppy course with us, you will want to check out Focus and Control or Leash Reactivity. If you are having problems with difficult on-leash reactivity, you will want to start in that class.
