Agility Fun Match -Sunday June 4th

Please note this Fun Match takes place at an arena near Lumsden.

*There is a chance that things won’t be fully dry by May 7th. In the event the arena is not useable (due to mud/driving conditions of the road), please note this Fun Match will be moved to Sunday June 4th.

You’ve been practicing agility. Your dog knows a few things? Have you thought about maybe entering the competition ring? You’re in luck! RHS is offering a Agility Fun Match -Jumpers Style! A Fun Match is a chance to get out to play agility in a new environment. This Fun Match is a half day of agility, with a chance to play three courses. Each participant will run three jumpers courses. That is: Jumps, Tunnels and Tire only! Courses will be 16-20 obstacles in length.

8:30 – 12:30 -Started and Advanced runs.

Goals:

• Agility away from your usual building!
• Working outside (the area is fenced!)
• Working on someone else’s equipment
• Dipping your toe into what a competition would be like -without it being competitive!
• Have Fun!

If you are not an RHS agility student, that’s okay! But your dog should be comfortable with jumps, tunnels, the tire and have experience sequencing at least 5 pieces at a time. You will have the opportunity to either run the course, or to take 2 minutes of training time in the ring on each of your turns.

Dogs must be in their vehicles or a kennel beside the vehicle when it is not their turn to run and everyone must maintain a minimum of 6 feet of distance between dogs (and ideally people too).
